So, Women’s Day is coming up next month and man, have we got some mega-exciting news to share with you! Remember the magical makeovers ECR Life editor, Anisa Ussuph mentioned a few weeks back? Well, this is it and YOU could be just a mouse click away from an awesome revamp!
Let’s face it, we all need some extra TLC every now and then. And sometimes, because of the rat races we’re constantly running, we just don’t seem to have the time or there’re always other things – family, work, friends, commitments – that take priority.
This Women’s Day though, ECR Life is going to change that. One lucky ECR Life reader/ECR listener will win a magnificent makeover, with the compliments of ECR Life’s main contributors.
Here’s what’s on offer
Fitness expert Lisa Raleigh (VO2Max)
Our lucky winner will get to work with one of SA’s top fitness experts and TV personality, Lisa Raleigh. Lisa is offering an assessment, a body brush exfoliation and body wrap and a free week with a personal trainer.
Makeup artist Aldytha da Silva (Make Up Your Mind)
Our winner will spend a two hour intensive session with one of Durban’s top makeup artists, Aldytha da Silva, and her team. They’ll focus on classic look that best suits the winner’s features. She’ll also be given personalized notes she can take home with her.
Stylist and fashion expert Lynne McMaster (DressbyLynne)
Our winner will hit the stores with one of Durban’s most sought-after stylists and image consultants, Lynne McMaster. Lynne will go from store to store with our winner, teaching her what styles of clothes best suit her body, what colours she should stick with and how to reflect her lifestyle and personality in the garments she wears.
The Hub
After finding out what styles best flatter her body, our winner will walk away with two sets of clothes including shoes, bag, accessories etc with compliments of The Hub.
Skin expert Shana Sandri (M.E.G)
Our winner will also be treated by one of Durban’s leading skin experts, Shana Sandri. She’ll conduct a face-mapping session with the winner and a tailor-make a treatment specially for her skin’s needs.
Hair expert Fay Abdullah (Hoi Polloi)
Top Durban stylist, Fay Abdullah, will give our winner’s hair some intensive TLC. Her complete hair makeover may include treatment, colour, highlights or a straightening treatment.

How to enter
- You need to tell us what’s the one thing about your body you’d change if you could.
- You’d also need to send us a full-length picture of yourself for our panel of judges.
- But hurry, there’s not much time.
- Entries close on 20 July at noon.
- The winner will be notified via email.

Conditions
- The winner HAS to be available for at least three hours every day from Monday to Friday.
- Details and pics of the winner’s makeover journey will feature on ECR Life during Women’s Week, 9-13 August 2010.

I wish I could enter cos I have a terrible eczema that left a horrible scar on my leg that does not allow me to wear anything short or show off my legs, especially in summer here in Durban.Can;t afford a skin specialist. So good luck to all those who enter.
Does it matter what your age is? I am past middle age but have entered anyway although it always seems to be the young twenty somethings who win these things!

I have also entered and wish I could win. I am so run down – with my 3 kids, my job, not to mention the no. of things I hate about myself. I also cannot afford to spoil myself & sort out the things I hate about myself. It would be a dream come true if happened to me. I entered simply because i so need help, i often feel frumpy as i am quite overweight now, age 42, size almost 42 and all that lol. I have been watching make over competitions since i was about 16 (not that long ago) and its just so exciting to see the difference, what a great experience having someone show you what you could look like and how to dress and wear your hair and if i could disguise or even get rid of that wretched waistline oh heaven anyway i would so love to win but would be happy that someone else could experience the magic of a makeover, holding thumbs!
